The Economic Development and Transition Branch is responsible for providing policy advice on issues relating to the growth of our firms, sectors and regions. We are also interested in how the government supports sectors, regions and workers through transitions, whether they be from adapting to climate change policy responses, or other effects such as automation or technological disruption.
We lead MBIE's just transitions work programme, with a particular focus over the next six 6 to 12 months on working with the Taranaki community on the implementation of the T2050 Roadmap.
