Regional Economic Development (RED) Programme Manager

 

The Regions team 

There are a billion reasons for you to join our team.  The Regions team is responsible for finding opportunities for government to support and resource regional economic development.

We work with regional leaders to identify development opportunities and work across government to identify resources to support those opportunities.

Our work is fast moving and involves a very large array of agencies and groups (regional opinion leaders, businesses, iwi, local government through to central government and Ministers).

 

As a part of our team we can offer you the opportunity to:

  • Play a key role in supporting regional economic development
  • Make a difference to New Zealand's economy
  • Work within a dynamic team and across stakeholders who are passionate about the vital role that regions play in our economy 
  • Team leader and staff mentoring/support opportunity
  • Collaborate across a wide range of topic areas regarding regional economic development
  • Provide support across the programme on a range of issues aimed at increasing the contribution of regions to New Zealand's economy. 

 

We are looking for someone with experience who can:

  • Work across the Implementation team to deliver programme support and a coordinate approach a coordinated across the programme
  • Communicate effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders both in writing and verbally.
  • Align support and processes to the government's operational and strategic priorities to deliver
  • Develop, maintain and utilise effective programme management, secretariat responsibilities and relationships to deliver the programme.
