The Refugee Unit is seeking a Senior Advisor (Strategy and Governance) to support the implementation of the New Zealand Refugee Resettlement Strategy through a whole of government approach and engage with the refugee sector on planned changes and future priorities.

About the role:

The role will also support the implementation of the Strategy through the relevant governance arrangementsand undertake special projects with a strategic focus.   

The successful candidate will have:

• A proven ability to think strategically and an understanding of the change process including measuring success and sound governance
• A high level of analytical skills with excellent judgement and ability to make quality decisions
• Strong relationship management skills including the ability to engage across sectors and communicate effectively on complex issues
• Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage high workloads

This is a fixed term position to 1 March 2019.
