About our teams
The Employment Standards and Employment Relations Policy teams make up two of five teams in MBIE's Workplace Relations and Safety Policy branch. We advise the government on all matters to do with employment relationships, and workers' minimum employment rights and obligations.
We administer key pieces of employment legislation that affect the working lives of many of New Zealand's 2.1 million employees and 160,000 employers on a daily basis. We support each other, celebrate success and take pride in our work.
You will be an integral member of both teams and will report to both managers. You will also be a member of our Branch's administration and business support team. This will involve sharing responsibilities and learning opportunities, and taking a team approach to getting all our branch's work done.
MBIE offers you good opportunities to develop your experience across a wide variety of areas. We proactively support professional development through on-the-job learning and we'll help you manage a healthy work-life balance.
