About The Team:
The Strategic Investment Team is responsible for making, managing and reviewing MBIE's longer-term, strategic research investments. The investments include the eleven National Science Challenges, the Antarctic research platform and nineteen research platforms held by the Crown Research Institutes and Independent Research Organisations. A key role for the team is to negotiate and influence the impact of the investments.
In this management role your focus will be to provide leadership and coaching capabilities to support a high performing cohesive team.
You will have the ability to quickly establish and build effective working relationships.
You will have the ability to work at different levels of the organisation and to gain the confidence of diverse stakeholders.
A sound working knowledge and understanding of the machinery of government and processes that apply within the state sector will serve you well in this role.
