About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Assistant to provide high level executive support to the General Manager in the Verification and Compliance branch of Immigration New Zealand (INZ). At INZ, we are proud of our critical role in both growing and protecting New Zealand. The Verification and Compliance branch is responsible for identifying and mitigating risk early, to reduce harm to the integrity of the immigration system.
The successful applicant will be someone who can develop trust and credibility quickly at an executive level. You will work closely with the General Manager and the Leadership Team to understand priorities and contribute to the delivery and success of MBIE outcomes. The Executive Assistant reports to a Business Support Manager and will enjoy contributing to the success of both the Business Support and Leadership Teams.
You will have excellent relationship management and communication skills as this role will require you to work across the system and engage with other parts of the business on a regular basis. You will be able to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships and work effectively with other support staff as needed.
This is a very busy role and no two days are the same. To be the successful you will need to display a high level of agility, adaptability and resilience to meet the changing needs of the team. You will be comfortable using your judgement and will always be two steps ahead, anticipating what is required and when, whilst ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard.
