PRINCIPAL PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST / ASSURANCE
You will have a strong commercial and procurement management background and a natural ability to build relationships
We have a unique opportunity for an exceptional procurement leader to influence system-wide change. New Zealand Government Procurement & Property (NZGPP) is on a journey to improve procurement maturity in agencies and provide assurance regarding the Government procurement system to Ministers. The Principal Procurement Specialist role will work closely with the Manager Assurance to establish the new Assurance Function within the NZGPP branch. The role will play a key part in ensuring that the function is fit for purpose and delivers on the strategic agenda.
Do you have the following skills and experience?
- A natural ability to build networks and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
- Superior ability to critically analyse all stages of the procurement life-cycle based on a deep understanding of the relevant procurement legislation, guidance, procedures and policies.
- Experience in building procurement and commercial capability development
- The ability to drive innovation and added value
We are recruiting for two Principal Procurement Specialist roles in the Capability Services team within New Zealand Government Procurement & Property at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
