About the role
You'll be part of a great People and Culture Business Partnership team which provides advisory support to our Policy portfolio. This team is led by a Strategic People and Culture Business Partner who is supported by two Senior People and Culture Advisors and a People and Culture Advisor. Your role will work directly alongside one of the Senior People and Culture Advisors to support one of our Groups within the Policy portfolio. In your role as People and Culture Advisor you will work in partnership with the Senior People and Culture Advisory to support MBIE's people leaders to deliver our people agenda which is aligned to key business outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in wider HR projects as we develop a programme of work to create a ‘first in class' HR offering, focused around developing top talent within an inclusive and supportive working environment.
What you will bring to MBIE?
To be successful you will be an HR generalist who is able to quickly establish and maintain strong working relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. Your ‘can do' attitude will support your ability to influence business stakeholders across a range of levels within the business to achieve key deliverables. You'll also be agile and resilient as no one day is the same.
As a HR Advisor you will also:
- Have a strong customer focus with experience in developing and maintaining relationships
- Be able to think pragmatically and provide accurate, timely advice on a range of HR issues
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of HR practices and New Zealand employment legislation
- Have an aptitude and curiosity with data and information and able to see the story and its relevance to the business group, MBIE and the People and Culture team
- Need to be comfortable working on a diverse range of HR areas and situations
You must be a citizen or New Zealand Resident (residence class visa) to be considered.
