About the role.
MBIE's talent acquisition team are passionate about supporting our business to hire great people, and graduates are an important part of MBIE's plan to develop the talented people we need to deliver on our key priorities. We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Programme Advisor to join MBIE to help us take our graduate recruitment & development programme to the next level.
You will be responsible for the management and oversite of the end to end policy graduate and intern programme, including the recruitment, development, and wider performance management throughout the programme.
Using strong stakeholder engagement and communications skills, you will work with both the business and wider HR team to ensure the delivery of this valued and high profile programme.
We are always looking for ways to improve our programme, so you will be able to make your mark with identifying opportunities to improve programme delivery and ensure MBIE runs an innovative, engaging graduate programme, hiring great people. You will quickly become familiar with our offering for the graduate market and look for ways to create synergies between our different graduate opportunities, and look for opportunities to ensure our graduate brand attracts a wide range of diverse applicants. Skills and experience required:
This role would suit someone who is passionate about helping people to start and grow their career, and you will need
- Experience in HR, ideally across a number of disciplines such as recruitment, learning and development, OD etc.
- Experience delivering a significant programme of work
- Experience providing great customer service, and the ability to build strong relationships with a wide of diverse stakeholders
- Amazing organisational skills and attention to detail
You will bring an understanding of the benefits of great talent development, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a desire to create the environment for MBIE to hire and develop talented people to grow New Zealand for all. This role reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager, collaborates closely with all parts of the wider HR branch, and is a great opportunity for someone wanting to grow their skills in the talent acquisition, development or HR field.
