Apply your exceptional, broad ranging risk management and health safety and security knowledge across a large and complex regulatory environment. Two permanent opportunities with one based in our Central Wellington, Stout Street location a second on our Manukau Office in Auckland.
One of New Zealand's largest regulators, Market Services works with businesses, employees and consumers to help them participate effectively in the market place. It operates across group boundaries to provide effective joined-up regulatory practice and services.
The recently established Service Quality branch helps ensure the quality of business operations across the Market Services group remains high by guiding and supporting business readiness and consistency of operations. The branch supports the development and implementation of operational business planning, delivery of technical training programmes, assurance around transformation activities and operational processes, and provides regional support across MBIE.
Reporting to the Manager, Health, Safety & Security Operations in the Service Quality branch, the Senior HSS Operations Risk Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that the business has effectively embedded and integrated the critical risk management toolkit and controls into their business as usual activities.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven ability to engage and motivate others with a positive work attitude. Previous experience in operational risk management processes and ideally a sound understanding of health safety and security practices across a large and complex organisation. Knowledge of practices relating to business process change and strong verbal and written communications skills. An analytical and strategic thinker who is able to develop relevant health, safety and security risk management solutions for the organisation.
