About the role:

As the Senior Information Analyst you will bring your business understanding and perspective to work in partnership with the manager and other stakeholders. You will contribute to the operations of the Business Analytics and Profiling team to help develop robust profiles and provide quality risk information to support immigration decision makers.

The Senior Information Analyst is responsible for providing statistical analysis, data analysis, regular and ad hoc reporting and advisory services to support CRIS.


Skills and Experience:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in analysing business information needs and the ability to translate these into business information requirements
  • Knowledge of relational databases and business information tools/software
  • Experience using modelling techniques, or ability to develop these skills
  • Experience of working in a data warehouse environment
  • Experience utilising SAS or some similar product for working with large datasets
  • Excellent communications, self-management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to clearly present analysis and ideas on in person and on paper
  • Experience in a leadership, mentor, senior or technical advisor capacity
  • Working knowledge of INZ systems desirable
