An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong and detail focused person with website development and management skills and experience.
Working closely with the Principal Digital Channels Advisor you will help us deliver on a number of digital projects and to contribute to a programme of work to implement our digital strategy.
This is a unique role where you will actively contribute to MBIE's online presence and be responsible for:
- Project management leadership
- Agile project management, sprint and workload planning
- Management of project deliverables, timelines and resources
- Collaboration on new project scoping and proposals
- Project reporting and documentation
- Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Establishing and building effective working relationships with internal teams and other key stakeholders
- Using analytics to make actionable recommendations to drive business change.
- Web content best practice, including writing for the web, advocating the use of plain language, readability and accessibility.
- Planning and oversight of user research, usability and information architecture development and testing.
- Identifying process, standards and systems development and foster an environment focused on continuous improvement.
This role is 32 hours per week with flexibility about the specific hours you work.

About the team
We are a busy Digital Channels team with staff based in Wellington and Christchurch. Our role is to ensure MBIE's 40+ websites meet the needs of MBIE and our online customers. We do this by providing customer-centred strategic advice and services. Our operating approach is based around four categories of service:
- Kaitiakitanga / Stewardship
- Business partnering
- Specialist advice and services
- Website support and maintenance
