A new and exciting opportunity has come about for a motivated Legal Executive to join MBIE in our Auckland based Legal Services team.

As the Legal Executive you will be responsible for providing a high level legal administrative support to the Auckland Litigation team solicitors and using your strong organisational skills and initiative to process assigned tasks and resolve issues.

 To be successful in this role, you be able to:

  • Assist with administrative support functions as required to ensure the smooth functioning of the group.
  • Actively co-ordinate management of Legal Services files, under the direction of the responsible solicitors
  • Assist in the initial processing of disclosure and discovery requests, under direction of responsible solicitor
  • Prepare bundles of documents for court
  • Prepare basic court documents under the direction of the responsible solicitor
  • Draft correspondence as required
  • Assist solicitors in organising witnesses for hearing (including summons, expenses, hearing appearances etc.)

In addition you must have:

  • A full New Zealand drivers licence
  • The legal right to live and work in New Zealand

A legal executive qualification is not required however would be preferred.
