About the team

As part of the Corporate, Governance and Information Group the ICT branch are responsible for the design, build and operating of effective information and communications technology services and solutions that allow MBIE teams to succeed in their goal to build a productive and competitive economy. This role sits in the Records & Library Services team in the Information & Data unit. This team is responsible for the sourcing, managing, collating and provision of digital and non-digital information across MBIE.


About the role

As the Advisor Information you will contribute to the successful delivery of information services to MBIE. The focus of this role is to provide customer-facing support for MBIE's electronic document and records management system (EDRMS).  You will also contribute to the provision of records and library services by responding to customer queries for information, records or published resources. You are a strong team player who can work seamlessly with others in similar positions to ensure service delivery is maintained.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised person to be part of the Information & Data Unit. Your skills will include:

  • Experience in the support of an EDRMS
  • Experience of  current practice in the management of electronic and physical records
  • Experience in the provision of library services would be an advantage
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to build customer centric relationships and apply a strong business approach
  • The interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Agility and flexibility in adjusting to changing work environments and expectations
  • A working knowledge of information related legislation e.g. Public Records Act, Copyright Act, Privacy Act etc.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in information,  records management or library studies  or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
