The Housing and Urban Branch (HUB) is the government's lead advisor on housing and urban performance.  We deliver initiatives which ensure current and future generations live in good houses and great communities. The HUB provides policy and regulatory advice on New Zealand's housing and urban markets, including housing affordability, quality, safety and choice, infrastructure to support housing and urban development and the performance of New Zealand's urban systems in delivering economic growth and overall wellbeing. About the role:

The Policy and Programme Services (PPS) team provides a range of services to support the HUB to develop and deliver its work programme, particularly in the areas of; Strategy and governance, Programme and project management, Stakeholder engagement and Business management functions.Policy programmes often operate with high levels of uncertainty and we bring a flexible approach to implementing project management in this environment.

The Advisor, Programme and Project Management will work closely with other members of the Policy Programme Services team, as well as managers and teams from across the Housing and Urban Branch to provide programme reporting and planning, secretariat support for governance groups and helping to build the HUB's project and programme management capability.

You will have experience in project and/or programme co-ordination, and be comfortable using a range of Microsoft Office products. Good communication skills will also be important.
