One of New Zealand's largest regulators, Market Services works with businesses, employees and consumers to help them participate effectively in the market place. It operates across group boundaries to provide effective joined-up regulatory practice and services.

 

The recently established Service Quality branch helps ensure the quality of business operations across the Market Services group remains high by guiding and supporting business readiness and consistency of operations.   The branch supports the development and implementation of operational business planning, delivery of technical training programmes, assurance around transformation activities and operational processes, and provides regional support across MBIE.

 

Reporting to the  Manager, Health, Safety & Security Operations in the Service Quality branch., the Senior HSS Operations Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that the business has effectively embedded and integrated the critical risk management toolkit and controls into their business as usual activities. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An appropriate business administration related qualification or extensive and comparable relevant experience
  • Previous experience in a safety, security or business operations related function in a large complex organisation
  • Sound knowledge of practices relating to business process change, health, safety & security, operational risk management
  • Proven administration and customer service skills including demonstrated ability to engage and motivate others
  • An analytical and strategic thinker who is able to make the connections between various operational aspects of the organisation and implications for their health, safety and security risk management
