We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Advisor to join MBIE in the Service Quality Branch of the Market Services Group.  If you're currently a high performer in a support role looking to move into the business advice area, this could be a great opportunity.


Market Services is a large and diverse Group delivering a range of obligations and services to the market.  The Service Quality Branch provides strategic oversight, guidance and support across the Group to achieve consistency and quality.   


Located within the Service Quality Branch, the Business Management Team provides operational support to the DCE Market Services senior management team, working across the entire Group and making connections across the Ministry.  The Business Advisor role is varied and includes preparation and delivery of internal reports and assurance processes to the Group such as monthly dashboard reporting.  The role also supports performance and outcome planning, reporting and accountability for Market Services, such as the estimates cycle and the annual review. 


The role requires strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.  You must be able to identify sensitive and emerging issues, analyse information, formulate solutions and have outstanding organisational skills.
