A new structure will optimise the delivery of ICT services, strengthen our vendor relationships and ensure we are ready to navigate an ever-changing digital world. About the role

In this role you will be reporting into the Manager, ICT Business Management. You will be responsible for delivering coordinated planning, reporting and monitoring activities for the ICT branch.   You will lead the development and maintenance of frameworks to review and monitor strategic outcomes being delivered through effective planning and performance monitoring in the ICT branch.

As the Principal Advisor Planning and Performance you will:

  • Plan for the implementation of branch transformational strategies
  • Coordinate the planning, reporting and monitoring activities for the ICT branch
  • Lead the development of ICT policy, plans, monitoring and reporting activities


Skills and experience

  • In depth knowledge with proven experience in business planning and performance management
  • A strategic and analytical thinker who is able to make connections between various aspects of the organisation and the implications for the ICT branch
  • Proven experience in the development of complex business planning processes
  • Understanding of ICT functions, environments, business practice and systems
  • Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and develop trust and credibility with managers, staff, vendors and other stakeholders
  • Experienced in developing solutions to solve complex organisational problems
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining an environment focussed on continuous improvement to enhance ICT performance
  • Proven experience in managing teams
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written particularly business writing and reporting
  • Understanding of government operating and decision making procedures
