  • Are you an engagement professional who can think strategically and effectively manage relationships with others?
  • Are you passionate about promoting best practice awareness about cyber security?
  • If so, join CERT NZ and provide expertise to a national unit focussed on improving cyber security in New Zealand
  • Permanent role, central Wellington office

We look for people who are passionate and enthusiastic about making a positive change to our economy, our businesses and our people.

CERT NZ launched in April 2017 and exists to improve cyber security in New Zealand. That means we're here to help increase comprehension of the threat landscape, better avoid incidents and reduce the impact of incidents. Our services are designed to help New Zealanders confidently participate in the digital economy, and to help New Zealanders be protected from cyber threats – both in their own activities and when using the systems and services they rely on.

CERT NZ has also joined an international network of CERTs, helping play our part in a global effort to improve cyber security, prevent and respond to incidents, and address cybercrime.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engagement professional to join our brand new team, giving you the opportunity to influence and build the role from the very start.

This is a challenging, rewarding and fulfilling role, with the chance to really make a difference and be involved in something that is new, relevant and extremely topical.

The role requires an experienced relationship manager who has the skills to develop their own strategies that will contribute to achieving the over-arching strategy of CERT NZ.

We are looking for someone with experience both in an account management-style approach and who can represent CERT NZ in raising awareness of cyber security impacts, best practice and of the CERT itself.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven ability and experience in the development of engagement strategies aligned with organisational interests
  • Proven ability and experience in developing high level relationships with senior managers across the public and private sectors
  • Experience representing the “public face” of an organisation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated experience and ability articulating complex ideas clearly and confidently with precise attention to detail
  • A sound understanding of cyber security or IT is advantageous
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or extensive and comparable relevant experience
  • The legal right to live and work in New Zealand and hold an existing government security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

If this role sounds like your next ideal opportunity, then please apply for this position by clicking the ‘Apply Now' button.
