An internal promotion has created an exciting new opportunity for a new Personal Assistant/Team Administrator within our Delivery Services team.  In this role you will provide vital support to the Director Delivery Services within the New Zealand Government Procurement and Property Branch.  You will work in a fast-paced, diverse and changing environment where no two days are the same.  You will also assist in keeping the office running smoothly.


To be part of the team, you will need to be client-focused, flexible, have the ability to prioritise and have a positive and pro-active approach to your work ensuring that tasks are completed to a high level.


The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of experience and success in providing personal support to managers, preferably in the public sector environment – personal assistant experience is a must in this role
  • A record of experience and success in providing administrative support to a large team  
  • High level intuition to successfully be one step ahead
  • Experience with diary management
  • A strong customer service focus and a proactive approach to their work
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated agility in supporting a busy team and responding to changes in priorities
  • Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes – including financial systems
  • Sound relationship management skills and a ‘can do' attitude
  • Experience with databases and Microsoft Office software applications

We are looking to offer a salary between $45,000 and $52,000 based on skills and experience.
